Hi. I'm a journalist in Queens, New York, and originally from Chennai, India.

For 4 years back home, I reported on politics, development, environment, gender, and human rights in India. I've covered a wide range of stories - police brutality and protests in Tamil Nadu, a water crisis, sexual harassment in sports in Northern India, a couple experimenting with exhibitionism on a subreddit, and much more.

In 2020, I worked as a reporting intern for Gotham Gazette, an NYC politics and policy publication. I recently graduated from NYU and worked as a fact checking intern at The New Republic.

My work has appeared in The Guardian, Deutsche Welle TV, CNN, The Washington Post, China Global Television Network, The Financial Times, The Wire, Scroll.in, Firstpost, The Hindu, The Hindu Business Line, Hindustan Times, and The News Minute. I am also a recipient of the LAADLI Award for Gender Sensitivity 2015-2016 and the Mumbai Press Club RedInk award 2018 Special Mention.
